10 lbs hamburger
5 onions, diced and cooked with meat
4 cups finely diced celery
20 ounces ketchup
50 ounces brown gravy (made from powder mix)
3 tablespoons vinegar
1 - 1 1/2 cups sugar
3 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon paprika
5 tablespoons mustard
1 1/4 teaspoons pepper
Brown hamburger with onions and celery, drain. In a bowl mix gravy mix and water together, add ketchup, vinegar, sugar, mustard and spices. Pour over meat mixture and simmer for a few hours. Great recipe to make ahead and reheat and it freezes well. Serve on hamburger buns. Goes a long way if you sere pre-made sandwiches.
