Heart Burn Cabbage Salad

1 large head of cabbage, finely shredded
 (or bagged shredded cabbage)
2 teaspoon curry powder
1/2 teaspoon celery salt
1 teaspoon celery seed
3/4 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
1 small red onion, shredded

Mix in large bowl, cabbage, curry powder, celery seed, celery salt, and onion. In a measuring cup mix oil and vinegar together. Mix well with salad.

Take TUMS.

Yogurt Raspberry Parfait

1 large container (32 oz) vanilla yogurt
1 large box (6 oz) vanilla pudding
1 large container (32 oz) cool whip
2 cups frozen raspberries

Mix yogurt and pudding together until smooth. Fold in cool whip, mixture should be a marble mixture of pudding and cool whip. Gently fold in raspberries. 

Cranberry Salad

1 package fresh cranberries, ground
1 cup sugar
1 can crushed pineapple, drained
1 package small marshmallows

Combine above ingredients and let set overnight. Fold in fresh whipped cream and serve.

Spinach Tortellini salad

9 oz package cheese tortellini, uncooked
2 cups red cabbage, shredded
6 cups torn spinach leaves
8 oz Ranch dressing
8 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
1/2 cup sliced green onion

Cook tortellini. Rinse in cold water, drain.

Layer cabbage, spinach, tortellini, tomatoes, green onion, and bacon. Pour dressing evenly over top. Refrigerate until serving time and toss immediately before.

Chicken Salad

cooked chicken breast, cubed or shredded
chopped celery
pecans
grapes, cut in half
crushed pineapple (small can, drained)
real mayonnaise

Blend all together. Also good with craisins.

Spinach & Strawberry Salad

Put spinach, sliced fresh strawberries, feta cheese, candied pecans (I make my own with this recipe)

Top with poppy seed dressing and mix.  There are no exact measurements, just add items to your taste.  

Cranberry Salad

Red lettuce
Romaine lettuce
Red onion
Cranberries
Toasted pine nuts
crumbled blue cheese
Gerards champagne light dressing

Mix and toss.

Spinach Salad

(Amie) 1 “head” each:
baby spinach
Iceberg lettuce
Romaine lettuce

8oz grated mozzarella
8oz grated Parmesan
1lb bacon, cooked and crumbled
8 oz craisins
1 cup almonds, sliced and toasted
(toast in a fry pan with sugar until the sugar melts and almonds are well glazed)
Cubed Fuji apples
Sliced red onions

Toss all ingredients together. Toss with Brianna’s Poppy Seed Dressing just before serving or make homemade poppy seed dressing.

(This batch also has bowtie noodles and chicken in it... great additions!)

Jill's Yummy Chicken Salad

6 chicken breasts (cooked, cooled, and cubed)
3 1/2 cups cooked curly pasta
1 bag seedless red grapes
2/3 ribs celery, diced
1 bunch diced green onions 
almonds or cashews (optional)

Dressing:
1 pint sour cream
1 pint mayonnaise
2 Tbsp sugar
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp ginger

Mix all ingredients and stir into dressing. Refrigerate before serving.

Mandarin Orange Jell-O Salad

(Aunt Peg) 12 oz cool whip
1 pint cottage cheese
1 small can crushed pineapple, drained
3 oz package orange Jell-O
11 oz can mandarin oranges, drained
sliced bananas, optional

Stir cool whip, cottage cheese, and jell-o together. Mix well and then fold in fruit.

Claudine's Cobb Salad

1 large bag of torn, prewashed lettuce (I buy Romaine Lettuce from Sam’s Club)
1 lb. cherub tomatoes (1/2 container from Costco/Sam’s)
2 cups (16 oz.) shredded cheddar cheese
10 oz. crumbled real bacon (1/2 bag of real bacon bits from Costco/Sam’s)
12 hard boiled eggs, diced
2 bunches of green onions, cut in small pieces
5 avocadoes, small in small pieces
1 bag of “Butterball turkey breast medallions, oven roasted”, cubed (Sam’s Club) 24 oz. (Or you can buy precooked chicken grilled strips and cube them_
2-3 cups of fresh blue cheese crumbles (I put on the side)
Slivered almonds to top the salad with (I put on the side) – big bag from Costco

Serve with Claudine’s Homemade Ranch and Blue Cheese Dressing!
• Serves 20 adults

Sweet Chicken Salad

3 cups cooked chicken (canned ok)
1 tsp salt
1 1/2 Tbsp lemon juice
1 cup celery, finely diced
2-3 cups red grapes
1 cup mayo
1 cup cool whip

Mix all ingredients together.

Chinese Cabbage Salad

(DeDe)

1 - 3 ounce chicken flavored Top Ramon noodles
4 cups shredded cabbage
2 Tbsp sesame seeds (optional)
4 green onions,
sliced almonds (toast if desired)

Dressing:
3 Tbsp rice vinegar
2 Tbsp sugar
2 Tbsp olive oil
1/2 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp salt
1 Top Ramon seasoning packet

Mix all the salad ingredients together. Then crush noodles and put in a colander and pour boiling water over them quickly it will soften them add them on top of the salad and pour salad dressing. Quadruple recipe for a party.

Turkey Bacon Pasta Salad

1 package Oscar Meyer turkey bacon
1/2 package bow tie pasta
1 cup craisens
1/2 bag spinach
1 head of cabbage
1 bottle of Brianna's poppy seed dressing

Cook and chop bacon. Cook and cool pasta. Chop cabbage in long slices, not little like oriental. Add spinach (Depending on how big of salad you want will determine how much cabbage, spinach, bacon, etc you add.) Add pasta, chopped turkey bacon, and craisens. Right before serving pour on dressing and mix.  *Also is delicious with chicken.
